Our story begins in 2009 when for the first time we became acquainted with catering, creating a menu primarily based on meat.

After five years of an unexpectedly successful course and having faced challenges and difficulties in Greece during the economic recession, we felt that we have acquired the necessary in-depth knowledge and experience to take the next steady step. Convinced that a lot of love and a genuine interest in quality and affordable food can make the difference, we created TYLIXTO on the pedestrian street of Aiolou in Monastiraki, Athens. It was hard to imagine, that this pedestrian street filled with old fabrics’ stores in the historical center of Athens would become within a few years’ time a top destination for entertainment and food.

The well-founded small shop at No 19 has maintained until today its traditional character and the philosophy of absolute, constant quality, focusing on the most sophisticated version of street food. Our wrapped souvlaki, our Arabic pies, the pork gyros and the chicken gyros, our kalamakia and our fresh, hand-cut, french fries combined with the secret recipes of handmade sauces, became objects of positive references and reviews in Greek and foreign sites. TYLIXTO was included in well-known tourist guides as a top choice of its kind.
